Here in Glastonbury, we mark the start of the festive season with a wonderful event when the community comes together to celebrate “peace and goodwill to all” at this festive time of year. A feast for all the senses with the smell of mulled cider, incense and street food permeating the air, colourful shopping until 7pm and music on the four stages dotted around the town, as well as buskers and street entertainment.
If you are lucky, you may see Father Christmas and his helpers, and as darkness falls the Christmas tree lights are turned on to mark the start of Christmas.
Please note the High Street is closed all day for this event.
